Our all natural formula has no chicken, lamb, beef or bison. The proteins used are pork and whitefish. What is DL-Methionine?

We haven’t changed the formula, we’ve added a name!

Select sizes are now being shipped with a new label to remind you that our formula contains a guaranteed 1.0% of DL-Methionine. This naturally occurring mineral helps prevent urinary tract infections. DL-Methionine is an amino acid with sulfur, which helps regulate ammonia formation in urine. This amino acid helps maintain your cat’s urine pH balance around 6.6, which is normal and does not encourage crystal formation.

Methionine is also an initiator of protein synthesis. It serves as a precursor to other amino acids like cysteine which can then be converted into taurine. Methionine can also be converted into glutathione, an important physiological antioxidant, and into the cat pheromone felinine. It is an amino acid that is vitally important to the long-term health of your cat.

Cherilynn Wood is a professional artist working in watercolor on a series of animal portraits. Her current new series depicts the wide variety of pets that people bring into their homes and hearts. Cherilynn says, “Pets have a way of capturing our hearts like nothing else can; their unconditional love and devotion is a tie that binds.”

Her watercolor pet portraits capture the animals character and personality in a fun and characteristic manner with vivid colors and individualized personality.
